William Alonzo Mawrey, 1831-1899
Born in Petersberg, Virginia.
He was the Grandfather of Elizabeth Irene Bryan-McCabe, Ruth Lydia Bryan-Murray and Ralph Rebb Bryan.
His Father was James Mawrey, 1808-1842. His mother was Ann Eliza Gibbs.
He worked for Clark Mills, whose bronze foundry was located on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. He helped put the Goddess of Freedom on top of the dome of the United States Capitol in 1863.
Spouse, Margaret Charlotte Redmond, 1838-1912. 
Born in Washington, D.C. Her father was Redman, mother Frances Elizabeth Goffe.
