More information on the Mawrey family from Charlotte Hulse Kirchner:

I found John Mawrey, father of James, married Ann Skidmore on 16 Jan 1782 in Bakewell, Derbyshire. Some nice person in England did a lookup on their IGI (International Genealogy Index) and sent me the information. I had been unable to get anywhere on the LDS site here. I have a little bit more fill-in material of children, etc. of the other brothers and sisters of James.

Another interesting note is that Claire & Bob McGee checked an 1880 census for D.C. and found Elizabeth Harvey (sister of our Margaret Charlotte Redman Mawrey) age 31 with her children and also the grandmother Sarah A. Redman (no age). It would appear that the name of Frances Elizabeth Goffe Redman might be wrong and it is probably Sarah A. Goffe Redman. My Uncle Ernest Frey is the one who had all this info from his mother, Marianna Frey.
